HALSEY

Halsey, a 26-year-old musician, was born in New Jersey. She started to write songs while she was 17 years old.

 She had a Tumblr page and, she was sharing her own lyrics. She also was covering songs, then releasing on Youtube and sharing those videos on Tumblr. 

She was a big One Direction fan and, she wrote a song about one of the members of the group Harry Styles and his girlfriend Taylor Swift and, she called the song The Haylor Song. 

This song became popular among One Direction fans and, also people started to know her.

Then, she wrote a song called Ghost about her ex and released on SoundCloud in 2014 and, this song has changed her life. Halsey got popular thanks to this song and signed with a music company. 

''In 2014, she published her ROOM93 EP and then her first album BADLANDS''

The songs in the album won certificates and the song called Castle was used on The Huntsman: Winter's War movie.

    ''In 2017, she published her second album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom '' 

 Her this album got success, too. She released a song for the soundtrack of the film Fifty Shades Darker.

 In this album, she made duets with Big Sean, Quavo, Lauren Jauregui, Cashmere Cat, Stefflon Don

                               In 2020, she released her third album Manic.

                          The songs in this album were on the top of the music lists

 

Without Me, Nightmare and Graveyard are the most known songs in the album.

Except for her music, she is also an activist. She does not afraid to talk about politics and protect human, animal, LGBTQ+ rights. She joined the protests in Los Angeles for racial justice after the killing of George Floyd. 🌈

Also, she has Turkish Blood in her DNA. She tweeted that she had a DNA test and, she was 11% Turkish so started to learn Turkish.💅💃

 

In the last few months, she visited Istanbul, too ❤

After she had come to Istanbul, she tweeted in Turkish and Demet Akalin offered her to teach Turkish 👀

                        

I am glad to know that beautiful and talented woman. She is the inspiration and voice of the new generation.  I hope you like her too.
